Spot Goes to the Park by Eric Hill

Spot Goes to the Park is an adorable lift-the-flap book. To start with, the expressions on the animals’ faces as you read through the story are perfect – we especially like Spot and the elephant's faces when Spot accidentally kicks the ball too high and quickly, “Oops!”

This story follows an excitable Spot, the dog, who is taking their ball to the park. When mummy suggests that she, Helen the Hippo, and Spot visit the park, Spot thinks it is a great idea and rushes to get the ball.

Spot’s ball features on every page and it creates an opportunity for you to have your own ‘find Spot’s ball’ game.

The flaps are all various shapes and sizes which makes it interesting, and the illustrations are extremely simple, helping you to focus on what is happening in the story.

Before the story draws to a close, there is a little bit of drama when the ball lands in the water. Will Spot get the ball back? Read it and find out!
