Novelist, Paulo Coelho, says about children, “They are trusting, they are fearless, and they believe in their own power.”
Harnessing your toddler’s enthusiasm
Having confidence and self-belief in themselves will help your toddler to achieve lots of different things. It can lead them to be more able to take challenges in their stride and to trust in their own abilities.
Safety first
Your toddler's self-belief and desire to do things themselves is amazing – but can be hard, too. It might not always feel possible to embrace their enthusiasm and energy, especially when their safety is a concern.
But when it is safe, try to relax and give them time to explore their capabilities and take on the challenges that life naturally throws their way.
