Advice from our community – have you heard about the rule of three?
Engagement with you – our My First Five Years parents and carers – is crucial to us. As well as the pages you use on our app, we also have a thriving Facebook community. It's a place for parents, grandparents and other carers to share their ideas, chat about their experiences and ask for tips and advice.
We thought we'd share this realistic parenting tip with you that came from Gemma, one of our Facebook members; she calls it 'The Rule of Three': “The rule is: you might want to make home-cooked meals and have a tidy house and do lovely activities with your baby, but if you try and do them all every day you will drive yourself mad, and probably fail. Cut yourself some slack and take one of the three away. Be kind to yourself.”
We all need support at some point in our lives as parents, so please feel free to reach out and share. Like our app, the Facebook community is a safe place – you won't find judgement, just support that's backed by science and real life voices of experience. We might not all be in the same boat, but we are here for each other.
You'll find our Facebook group here.
