Did you know, when your baby starts to pass objects from hand to hand, they are learning life skills such as washing up?

This is a significant moment. Passing an object between two hands is a skill that your baby will practise for the next few months and it requires coordination throughout their body.

You will start to see skilled hand-to-hand exchanges taking place.

This skill will be used for many daily practices, such as getting items in a cupboard and reading a book. There are endless situations in life where passing an object from one hand to the other is a necessary skill, and your baby is beginning to get to grips with this super useful ability. One day in the not-too-distant future, you might have a washing up helper by your side!
