World Poetry Day!
This is a day when all things poetry are celebrated – from reading, writing and appreciating poems. Other art forms that link into poetry are also included, such as dance and performance. Poetry and rhyme are particularly amazing to introduce to small children as it is great for developing early phonological awareness.
