How to keep baby warm in winter
When it’s cold outside it might be tempting to stay indoors but wrapping up warm and going outside might be good for your well-being and give your baby the opportunity to experience some new sensations.
What should my baby wear?
- Your baby should wear one more layer than you wear, and don’t forget hats and gloves.
- Layers might be a good idea especially if you are going to go inside for a little bit, take off your baby’s outer layers or lift of their blanket if you go in somewhere warm.
- Take off your baby’s outdoor clothes when you come back inside so that they do not get too hot.
- If you are going out in the car remember to take off your baby’s coat when you put them in the carseat if their coat is thick or puffy. The straps of the carseat need to be snug to your baby’s body and the padding of a coat can make the straps too loose.
