Book of the week

A Squash and a Squeeze by Julia Donaldson

A brilliant book for supporting your child’s speech and language development as its rhythmic repetitive verses support an awareness of rhyme and its repeated refrains encourage children to say out loud the words they believe are coming.

While it is not the most popular of Donaldson’s and Scheffler's work, it is definitely one of the best and ends with a classic moral to the tale.
