You seek it here; you seek it there – that ball is going everywhere

What you need 

• A ball 
• Space – the park, beach or play area are ideal 

What to do 

1. Show your toddler the ball and let them play with it.  
2. After a short while, show your toddler how to throw the ball.  You can do this by throwing it to them.  
3. Invite your toddler to pick up and throw the ball themselves.  
4. When they throw the ball, you move to where it has landed and throw it back again.  
5. You might choose to throw the ball near your toddler; it can feel more exciting when you both move around, following the ball.
