What you need
- A selection of fillings, and a wrap
What to try
- Practise folding at mealtimes. Find a table your toddler can stand at, or use a step so they can reach your work surface.
- Give them the selection of fillings, and wrap.
- Make yourself a wrap at the same time so you can show them how to place fillings into their wrap and how to fold it.
- Your toddler might find folding the wrap difficult at first so they could simply fold the bottom upwards and you finish off for them if they seem frustrated.
- Let your toddler take their time to fold or let them practise folding the wrap in creative ways, even if this means they eat the filling and wrap separately in the end.
Good to know
Other foods or snacks which require folding or wrapping, like dumplings, pasties or pastry puffs, can be just as fun for your toddler to have a go at, if you can let them be involved in (and experiment with) folding.
