What you need
- Clean cardboard snack tubes, or other tubes which are large enough to fit your hand into
- A selection of objects which fit in the tubes, such as scarves, jar lids, smallish toys
What to do
- Place the cardboard tubes out for your toddler to explore.
- Hold some of the tubes upright and show your toddler how to drop items inside the tube.
- Invite your toddler to help you post the objects into the cardboard tubes. They might find this tricky at first, so give them lots of time to practise.
- Let your toddler delight in dropping things in and then rediscovering them inside the tube as they play.
Stay close and supervise your toddler while playing.
