What’s inside? Use a box with a lid for some of your toddler’s toys

What you need 

• A box with a lid 
• Your toddler’s toys 

What to do 

• Put some of your toddler's toys inside a box with a lid.  
• When it’s time to play, suggest that they take the lid off the box themselves. Give them time to try doing this before you help.   
• If they find it difficult or are becoming frustrated, help by pulling the lid up a little and then letting them take it off.  
• They might want to practise taking lids off lots of times while they master this skill so they may well play with the lid and box more than with the toys inside!
