What to do
- When you’re out, look for pictures in shop windows, or on packaging in shops.
- Take time to stop and look at the images you both see.
- Point to things of interest.
- If you can, bring things close to your toddler so that they can point to them too.

Aisles in shops with magazines, cards, wrapping paper, books or toys are most likely to capture your toddler’s interest.
