We’re out – let’s talk about what we see
What you need
- Time to go for a walk in your local area
What to try
- Head out for a walk with your baby and if their buggy or pushchair faces away from you, stop occasionally and bend down so they can see your face.
- Describe what’s around you, be it a passing bus, a building or a dog wagging its tail, and pause so that they can respond.
- When it’s time to start walking again, tell your baby what you’re going to do next. For example, "The bus has gone now we better carry on. I wonder what we’ll see next. Let's go!"
