What you need
- A selection of toys that do something as a result of your baby’s actions, for example, a pop-up toy or a tower of blocks
What to try
- Put the toys where your baby can reach and play with them.
- If your baby hasn’t quite mastered the physical skills to make the toy work, show them how to do it.
- Talk about what they are doing and what is happening as they play.
Good to know
Your baby’s understanding and vocabulary grow when you talk about what they’re doing.
