Plastic boxes and lids are a great alternative to LEGO®

What you need 

• A few plastic boxes and lids 

What to try 

• Put the lids and boxes on the floor and encourage your toddler to take the lids off.  
• If they aren’t very interested in simply playing with the boxes and lids, put a snack or small toy in a box and let them take the lid off to find it. 

Good to know 

Smaller boxes might be easier for your toddler to hold at first. Try to find boxes with a broad lip on the lid so your toddler can hold it and pull the lid off more easily.
