Your toddler: the transporter! Can they help you to move a large parcel around?

What you need 

•  A large cardboard box 
• Things/something to fill it, that make it appropriately heavy, like a cushion 

What to do 

1. Put the cushion in the box and shut the lid. 
2. Ask your toddler if they can help you move the large box from one room to another. 
3. Watch how they use all of their body to move the box. They might push at the top or the bottom, or pull the box behind them.  
4. Try not to step in or make suggestions; let your toddler decide how to move the box using trial and error (as long as they are safe).
