Home-made slide – practising positioning toys with your toddler

What you need 

• A large cardboard tube 
• Tape 
• Toys or objects that will fit through the tube 

What to do 

• Tape the tube to a cupboard or wall, either at a slight angle or straight down, depending on how quickly you want the toys to drop through! 

• Put a few toys that will slide through the tube into a container and place this beneath the tube, ready to catch the toys at the other end. 
• Invite your toddler to post the toys into the tube. Stand back and watch! 
• Try mixing up the toys to keep it interesting.
