What to try
- Include some shoes in your toddler’s dressing-up kit.
- Ask friends or family members if they have any shoes they no longer use; old shoes from adults or siblings are perfect.
- Let your toddler experiment with bigger shoes. They might love the independence of being able to put these on as well.
Your toddler may attempt to perform tasks like climbing and descending stairs when playing in their oversized shoes. This is an activity that will need supervision.
