What you need 

• A household item to represent a microphone (like a spoon, bottle or tube) 

What to try 

• Start by singing into the microphone yourself, then offer it to your baby so they can share in the delight of singing.  
• Sing whatever you like: it could be a nursery rhyme, or a song that you sing especially to your baby or one that you particularly enjoy at the moment.  
• If your baby sees you enjoying the singing, they’ll want to join you and share the fun.
