Use a favourite toy to encourage your toddler to climb the stairs. Invite your toddler to the stairs with the toy and begin to bounce the toy up the first few steps. If your toddler is excited to chase their toy, move up three or four steps before passing the toy to them. You can steadily increase the number of stairs your toddler climbs when their strength, balance, and coordination increase.
