Talking on the telephone – oh, you’ve gone now, let’s wave bye-bye

What you need 

• A phone or tablet with video call feature 

What to do 

1. Video call a family member or friend.  
2. Include your baby in the conversation while you are on the call. You could do this by overly exaggerating saying “Hello” at the start of the call, saying something like, “It’s Aunty Rose, hello Aunty Rose. Can you give Aunty Rose a wave?”  
3. At the end of the call, invite your baby to wave goodbye to the caller with you. You could say, “It’s time to wave goodbye! Shall we wave? Bye-bye, Aunty Rose, bye-bye.” While you say the words bye-bye, keep waving.
