Still struggling with pronouns? Your photos are really useful!

What you need

  • Photos of your child, family and friends

What to do

  1. Look at photos together.
  2. Talk about who you can see and what they are wearing or doing.
  3. Use the correct pronouns, like, “There is Badah, he is wearing glasses,” or “I can see you holding your teddy.”
  4. Encourage your child to talk about who and what they can see.
  5. If they use people’s names, repeat their sentence back using pronouns. For example, if your child says, “Daddy is there. Daddy is wearing slippers.” Say, “Yes! Daddy is there and he is wearing his slippers.”
