Sticky tape play – your toddler's fingers and thumbs will be busy today
What you need
- Varying lengths of tape
- A cardboard box or large container
What to do
- Stick varying lengths of tape onto a cardboard box or large container.
- Leave one end of the tape loose so that your baby can grasp it.
- Pop the box on the floor and show your baby how to peel off the tape.
- Encourage your baby to pull the tape.
Good to know
Your baby should try and use their finger and thumb to grab the tape and pull it.
You may notice that your baby spends some time figuring out the best way for them to hold and pull the tape; this is an excellent example of discovery and investigation!
