Sing! Using different pitches
What you need
- Good vibes and time for a song!
What to do
- Choose a song that your baby responds excitedly to and sing it in different pitches.
- Start with your usual pitch, then sing in a low pitch, followed by a higher one.
- If your baby is enjoying your singing voice, carry on!
Good to know
Your baby is developing their vocal sounds and hearing your voice change pitch helps them to understand that their pitch can change too.
You might start to hear a slight alteration in your baby’s voice when you sing a whole verse in one pitch.
