What to try 

• When your baby discovers the joy that banging two objects can bring, you can find ways to make it more musical by singing simple songs and rhymes that encourage it.  
• Find two (or more, if your baby likes to have choice) objects which make a sound when they are hit together.  
• Show your baby how to bang along to the song as you sing.
