What to do
- Show your child each of the movements you're going to use in the game. These could be a combination of walking, running, skipping or jumping.
- Say one, for example “Walk”, and encourage your child to walk around – do this with them if they seem unsure.
- Then say another of the movements and encourage your child to change what they’re doing.
- Keep playing for as long as your child is interested.
Good to know
This can be a great game to play with other children, as your child will be able to watch as they move and copy their movements. At first, they might need you to show them the movement as well as say the word, to help them copy.
