Push and collect – can your baby load items into their push along?

What you need 

• Flat outdoor soft surface, such as grass 
• Push-along toy 

What to do 

1. When the weather is good, take your push-along outside to a flat grassy area.  
2. Pop a toy on the grass about one metre in front of the push-along.  
3. Encourage your baby to push their toy along the grass and pick the toy up.  
4. Encourage them to place the toy in their push-along if there is room. Your baby might need your help with picking up the toy. 

Good to know 

This can be done inside, too, if the weather isn’t right for outdoor play.
