Peek-a-boo! I can see your smile – let’s play again

What you need 

• See-through fabric
• A time when your baby is awake and playful 
• A comfortable play space 

What to do 

1. Find some light, see-through fabric.  
2. Position yourself and your baby so that you are both comfortable and looking at each other's faces.  
3. Hold the fabric in front of your face, then move it away and say, “Peek-a-boo!” 
4. Respond to your baby's response, so if they laugh or smile, smile back and repeat the game. If they seem unsure, perhaps chat to them a little bit before playing again.  
5. If you don't have any fabric to use, then just hide behind your hands. You could keep your fingers open a little bit so that your baby can see you're looking at them as you hide.
