No paint, no problem!

There are plenty of other ways they can explore making marks with their fingers – why not try some of these... 

What to try 

• Sand – use fingers to draw into wet or dry sand. 
• Mud – draw in a patch of mud with a finger (or a stick if your toddler isn't keen on getting muddy!). Make sure you have wipes or water to clean up with afterwards. 
• Shaving foam on bath tiles. 
• Condensation of a window or mirror. 
• A bit of spilt dinner or drink – messy but so full of potential for delicious artwork!
