Musical bouncing – can you feel the rhythm?
What to do
- Sit your baby on a cushion, facing you.
- Gently place your hands under their arms and bounce them up and down.
- You may want to listen to music or sing a song you both enjoy.
- Your baby’s legs will naturally move up and down, following their trunk.
Good to know
If your baby is enjoying this, carry it on by standing your baby on your knees and bouncing them up and down. Initially, your baby will have bendy knees and stand on their tip toes. Where you can, try to gently place their heels on the ground. By doing this barefoot, your baby will gain maximum sensory experience.
