Mirror mirror on the wall – who's the cutest of them all?

What you need

  • A large suitable mirror

What to try

  • Sit with your baby when they are awake and playful.
  • Infront of your baby, draw their attention to themselves by looking in the mirror and exclaiming, "Who's that! Is that you? There's your nose!"
  • You might say, "Are you able to find mine?" Instead of touching your mirror, your baby will most likely touch your actual nose.
  • You could then touch your baby’s nose, saying, “Well done!” Spend time with your baby talking about their beautiful face and allowing them to touch and feel yours while you're together.

Good to know

This activity can be done at any time: look out for mirrors while you are carrying your baby somewhere or look into one after a nappy change.
