Making music – looking towards different and new sounds

What you need 

• A range of toy instruments, or real-life objects that can be used as instruments, or both  

What to do 

1. Sit your baby on the floor with the toys and/or objects you have selected. 
2. Demonstrate how to tap, bang and rattle the objects, and watch how your baby reacts. 
3. Encourage them to have a go at making some music and sounds with you.
