Look and notice quantities while out – they are everywhere!

What to try  

• Think about whether there are lots of cars on the road, or in a car park, or not many at all.  
• Look for birds. You might see a bird, then lots of birds flying above, or a single tree and then lots of trees.  
• Before you go into a shop, wonder together whether there will be lots of people in the shop.  
• When you enter the shop, talk about the number of people that you see. Say something like, “We saw a lot of people in the shop today, it's a busy day for shopping.”
