Let’s pack – practise taking turns as you put things in a bag

What you need 

• A bag 
• A selection of items you need for a journey or trip out 

What to try 

• Give your child the bag and tell them you’re going to put things in for a trip out.  
• Put the items where they can reach them and say that you’re going to go first.  
• Choose something and put it in the bag.  
• Say, “Your turn,” and pause so your child can put something in.  
• Chat about the things you are each adding to the bag.  
• Keep going until the bag is packed.
