What to do
- Play some music you enjoy and dance together.
- At first, simply enjoy dancing.
- When your child has had time to enjoy moving, suggest you both do the same dance.
- Either play a song with a dance that you know has some jumping forwards and backwards in it (such as the 'Cha cha slide') or simply jump forwards in time with the music, describing what you’re doing as you do it.
- Your child will probably copy you as you dance – do this until you’re both ready for a rest.
