Let the wind blow – sensory games for a blustery day

What you need 

• Ribbons or pieces of fabric 

What to do 

• Head outside on a windy day, making sure you and your baby are both wrapped up warm!  
• Show your baby how the pieces of ribbon or fabric blow in the wind and talk about what you feel: “The wind is moving our ribbon. I can feel it on my face, it’s blowing my hair too!”   
• If your baby enjoys it, let the ribbon tickle their cheeks or hands.  
• Notice how they respond. Encourage your baby to hold the ribbon – perhaps they want to tickle your cheeks too!
