Kisses and cuddly toys! A sweet game to encourage your baby to move objects

What you need: 

• A selection of cuddly toys 

What to try: 

• Line up some of your baby’s favourite cuddly toys.  
• One at a time, pick up the toys and show your baby how you bring them to your face and give them a little kiss.  
• Talk about how much you love the toys and narrate your actions as you move the toy to your face. “Oh, look at blue bear, it’s so cuddly. I will lift it up and give blue bear a kiss! Thank you for being so cuddly blue bear!” 

Good to know 

Try doing this with all the toys you’ve laid out and encourage your baby to do the same. You might need to help them to bring the toy to their mouth if it’s too big to do independently. Thank the toys for looking after you, or being colourful, or any other reason you can think of to be grateful to them.
