What to try
- Let your child take the lead on picking out the item. It might be a toy, comforter, book, or even something they have found on the way.
- When you arrive, encourage your toddler to show people what they have brought.
Good to know
Some toddlers might want to share their item straight away, others may prefer to watch everyone for a little while first. Trust your own knowledge of your toddler to think about when a good time might be to show their special item.
