It’s time for a playdate – who can we meet today?
What to do
- Arrange to meet a friend or family member and their children.
- Have lots of toys and resources for the children to play with as your toddler will not really understand taking turns yet.
- Give the children time to play but don’t insist they play together – they might each find something that interests them.
- Take photos of your children playing together, or near each other.
- When you go home, you can show your family the photos and chat about what the children did.
- Include your toddler in the conversation and let them talk about whatever they like – you might discover the part of the day they remember most is not what you expected.
