It’s song time – get your bus ready, you are going for a drive!

What to do 

• Sing ‘The Wheels on the Bus’ to your baby. As you sing the verses, carry out the actions to the song. 
• Hold their hands and gently show them how to do some of the actions themselves. 

Good to know 

 Here are the possible actions you could do: 

The wheels on the bus go round and round – 
Simulate the wheels going around using your arms. 

The doors on the bus go open and shut – 
Have your baby face you. As you sing, your arms can mimic the action of the doors opening.  

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish – 

Swish your arms back and forth like they are wipers in this verse.  

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep – 

Touch their nose for each beep. 

The people on the bus go up and down – 

Stand up and down as you sing the words.  

The babies on the bus fall fast asleep – 

Place your head in your hands and yawn as you sing.
