Here’s my nose, where’s yours?
What to do
- Sit next to your baby or bend down so you’re in front of them and at the same height.
- Put your finger on your nose and say, “Here’s my nose.” Then ask, “Where’s your nose?”
- Pause and give your baby time to think about what you have said, they might copy your actions. If not, gently touch their nose and say, “There’s your nose.”
- Repeat this with different parts of their body, smiling and encouraging your baby as they listen to you and watch you.
