Plant pot tower – simple stacking fun

What you need 

• A dry day 
• Empty plastic pots, like plant pots or yoghurt pots 

What to do 

1. When you’re playing outside, set out your empty plastic pots. 
2. Show your baby how two pots can be stacked on top of each other.   
3. Give lots of encouragement and get excited when they have a go at making a tower (they might try lots of different ways to stack the pots).  

Good to know 

Your baby’s using lots of skills to work out how two pots can be stacked. This is quite tricky a game to play as the pots might slot inside of each other, instead of stacking. Let your baby try to work out how to separate them, giving them a little help if they become frustrated.
