What to try
- While your baby is playing, ask them to show you what is in their hand.
- Watch to see how they move their forearm.
- Do this at different times and when your baby is holding different objects.
- Try offering different objects, such as ones with handles, stick-like objects, chunky objects and cloths.
Good to know
The shape, size and weight of the object will mean your baby has to move their forearm slightly differently. This will give them a great workout for their arm muscles.
