Follow me – going outside and playing together

What to try 

• Spend some time outside in a park, in your garden or in some other open space.  
• When you are in a safe place, let your child walk or crawl away a little, then follow them.  
• When you get to them you could ‘catch’ them before starting the game again.  
• Your baby might enjoy this very simple chasing game and will probably laugh as you catch them. Follow their cues to decide how you play.  

Good to know 

If they seem unsure, start the game really slowly, or go back to a simple game of peek-a-boo which might be more familiar to them.
