Fancy seeing fish in the bath! A simple game can help your toddler understand big and little.

What you need 

• Some carrot peelings 
• Some tubs and nets 
• A bath (or if you don’t have a bath a large bowl filled with water) 

What to do 

• Keep some carrot peelings of different sizes.  
• Show them to your toddler and explain what the peelings are, so they know there aren’t really fish in their bath! 
• Put the peelings in the bath and give your toddler some tubs and a scoop or net so they can collect some ‘fish’.  
• Suggest they compare what they catch and put all the big ‘fish’ in one tub and all the small ones in another.
