What you need
- Printed photos of family members
- Card
- Scissors
- Glue
What to do
- Stick a photo onto card – if it’s already on stiff paper you might not need to do this.
- Cut the photo into three pieces.
- Show your toddler the pieces pushed together, then take them apart.
- Ask your toddler if they can put the pieces together again.
- Chat about who they can see as they make the jigsaw.
Good to know
If you don’t have a printer at home, you can send off free prints by downloading various apps, or you can usually print in your local library. When your toddler becomes more familiar with the activity, you can try putting six pieces out so your toddler can try and piece together two faces at one time.
