Explore and investigate the parts of stacking toys together

What you need 

• Stacking cups or toys  

What to do 

1. Place the stacking toys in front of your baby.  
2. Give them time to explore the toys and move them around in any way they want.  
3. Watch how your baby moves and manipulates the toys, and where they place them down. 

Good to know 

Stacking toys are designed to encourage your baby to pick up and place objects in a particular place. This is a difficult task as your baby will have to coordinate numerous actions while moving and positioning objects.  

If your baby is still working on mastering this skill, don’t worry; for now you’re looking for purposeful movements of objects, regardless of where the toy ends up.
