Coming and going – showing your baby you are still there when they cannot see you

What to try 

• When you are at home with another adult available to stay with your baby, go out of the room briefly and then come back.
• You could even just hide behind the door for a few seconds and then peep out again. 
• Remember to be responsive to your baby’s needs and if they seem upset when they think you have gone, stop playing.
