Celebrating difference through storybooks

What to do 

• Share a book that talks about how amazing differences are; My Skin Your Skin by Laura Henry-Allain is a really good book to look at together.  
• You could just look at one page and chat with your toddler about all the different people they can see. 
• You can also talk to your toddler about the things that make them amazing and unique.  

Good to know 

Your toddler might not have the attention to look at the full book. What is great about this book is that there are things you can chat about on every page, and as your toddler grows and develops a longer attention span you can look at more of the book each time.
