Balloon football is great for a rainy day!

What you need

  • A balloon

What to do

  1. Blow up a balloon and put it onto the floor, somewhere there is space for you and your toddler to sit on the ground and extend your legs.
  2. Challenge your toddler to have a game of foot-only football, but there is one simple rule: You have to stay sitting down on the floor!
  3. Encourage your toddler to stay on the floor and flex their feet and toes to hit the balloon.
  4. Count how many times you each kick the balloon, or perhaps simply time how long you can keep it moving for.

Good to know

This is great for children’s parties or when friends and family visit.

Remember to supervise your toddler when playing with balloons and take any burst balloons away immediately, as the small parts left behind can become a choking hazard.
